As a Pre Sales manager you will be responsible for 3 major fronts of enterprise engagements: Solution Design, Project Management & Engagement Growth and will be working very closely as an extension of the product team to drive strategic transformations for large enterprise businesses and building operational and technical solutions for clients.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead Presales Activities: Oversee and manage the presales process, ensuring alignment between sales and technical teams to deliver compelling solutions to clients.
Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the presales phase, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.
Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate and persuasive proposals, RFP responses, and presentations.
Technical Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and capabilities of our solutions.
Solution Design: Work with the technical team to design solutions that meet client requirements while adhering to company standards and best practices.
Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and enhance solution offerings.
Data Simulations: Use internal tools to transform client data and run scenario models that highlight impact on cost, distance, and SLA performance crucial for value articulation.
Performance Metrics: Monitor presales performance metrics and KPIs, reporting on results and identifying areas for improvement.
Collaboration with Sales: Partner with the sales team to strategize on account approaches, identify opportunities, and develop effective closing strategies.
Feedback Loop: Gather client feedback post-engagement to continuously improve presales processes and offerings.
Who would fit the role?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a presales or sales engineering role, with at least 2 years of logistics or supply chain experience.
Problem-Solving / Analytical Aptitude: Strong ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Operations and Supply Chain Experience: Prior experience in operations and supply chain is preferred.
Client Interaction: Must have experience handling client interactions and building relationships.
Solutioning Skills: Proven experience in developing and presenting effective solutions tailored to client needs.
Technical Skills: Understanding of relevant technologies and solutions in the logistics and supply chain domain; Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills are a must. Understanding of APIs, prototyping tools is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex concepts clearly.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
Business Acumen: Sharp business acumen to understand market dynamics and client needs.
Customer-Oriented Approach: Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Travel: Being open to work across multiple geographies and industries with up to 20% travel to client locations for process studies and presentations.
