About Locus

Battle-tested in 350+ deployments across 30+ countries, Locus is an agentic Transportation Management System for all-mile, all-channel, trusted by enterprises like Unilever, Nestlé, and Siam Makro.

The platform unifies orders, capacity, and carrier networks into one living plan, aligning planning, execution, and settlement so promises become proof. AI co-pilots with guardrails surface risk early and recommend the next best move to protect SLAs and reduce empty miles.

In 2025, Locus joined the Ingka Group (IKEA Retail) family, marking a major milestone in our journey. Backed by the scale and strength of IKEA, we continue to operate independently while accelerating our mission to make global supply chains faster, smarter, and more sustainable.

Our Journey and Impact

Since 2015, Locus has been on a mission to make logistics decision-making intelligent, sustainable, and real-world ready. Our platform has powered billions of deliveries across 30 + countries for global enterprises, driving measurable impact in cost savings, carbon reduction, and SLA performance. With the strength of the IKEA ecosystem behind us, we’re scaling that impact even further.

Our Global Footprint

Headquartered in Bangalore, with teams across the U.S., U.K., UAE, and Southeast Asia, Locus brings together 170 + engineers, designers, and problem-solvers united by a single goal: to reinvent how the world moves goods.

Traits We Value

We look for people who are:

  • Global in mindset: curious about diverse markets and ideas.

  • Unrelenting in drive: energized by complex challenges.

  • Intelligent in approach: analytical, creative, and thoughtful.

  • Dynamic in execution: adaptive and decisive in fast-moving contexts.

  • Exact in craft: detail-oriented and committed to excellence.

About the Role:

As a DevOps Engineer – 3 at Locus, you will take end-to-end ownership of designing, scaling, and operating highly available, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure for a global SaaS platform. This role goes beyond execution—you will drive infrastructure strategy, automation standards, and reliability practices that enable engineering teams to ship faster and operate confidently at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the design, architecture, and reliability of Locus’s cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Aliyun, supporting multi-region, global deployments.

  • Lead the evolution of our CI/CD ecosystem, including optimizing and refactoring our Jenkins-as-Code setup for scalability, performance, and developer efficiency; influence tool and process improvements where needed.

  • Drive the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) journey end-to-end—migrating existing cloud resources, alarms, and configurations fully into code with strong versioning, review, and rollback practices.

  • Partner closely with engineering teams to identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability bottlenecks, including deep dives into memory, CPU, networking, and storage constraints.

  • Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response best practices, improving MTTR, system observability, and operational readiness.

  • Lead initiatives around cost optimization, security hardening, and capacity planning, ensuring infrastructure remains efficient and compliant as the platform scales.

  • Act as a technical mentor for junior DevOps engineers and contribute to raising the overall DevOps maturity across teams.

Must Haves:

  • 7+ years of experience as a DevOps / Platform Engineer in a SaaS or product-led company.

  • Strong hands-on expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS / Azure / GCP), with exposure to multi-cloud or global deployments.

  • Deep experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins (or equivalent tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).

  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar frameworks.

  • Strong background in monitoring and observability, including tools like CloudWatch, and experience defining actionable alerts and SLIs/SLOs.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to reason about distributed systems and infrastructure trade-offs.

  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with cross-functional teams, influencing design decisions, and operating in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

What We Offer

Join Locus and become part of a visionary team that is redefining logistics through innovation and smart distribution. We provide competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative environment where your expertise will drive both your growth and that of the organization.
